Construction begins on Colorado’s first-of-its-kind “Community of Good Neighbors” for adults with and without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Jefferson County. The first-of-its-kind apartment complex in Colorado will allocate 50 percent of its 80 units for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the other 50 percent for seniors and working professionals.

Parents, Caregivers, Donors and hopeful potential future residents were in attendance. NOTE: Information meetings are temporarily suspended due to COVID19 precautions.
More info!On March 12, 2020, Trailhead Community submitted our Site Development Plan to Jefferson County for approval. A Site Development Plan (SDP) depicts the general layout and configuration of a site, including building footprints, parking and street layout, conceptual landscaping and lighting, site cross section drawings, and building elevations.
Russ, Cynthia and Eric Strecker will match every donation made in the next 10 days, up to a total of $20,000!!! Our construction team needs just $40,000 more to complete the design document phase of the project. Without the funding for this next step, Trailhead Community may have to temporarily suspend progress. If we can meet this challenge within the next 10 days, the ball will keep rolling and we can put our materials needs out for bids, and apply for our building permit.
